Gramps - multimedia import

GEDCOM is a specification for exchanging genealogical data. *.GED files are plain text files with informations about persons and may contain links to images from web pages.
After importing these files into Gramps 4.1
you need to restore multimedia database - that is the reason for publishing this special plugin. It is basen on
2012 plugin for Gramps 3.4
published by Tim Lyons. You can use it for example after importing tree from
www.myheritage.com to Gramps.
Usage
Download:
DownloadMedia.py and
DownloadMedia.gpr.py
then copy it to new folder
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\gramps\gramps41\plugins\DownloadMedia (Windows 7 path,
for other operating systems find install folder and plugins directory inside).
Open Gramps project where you have problems with image viewing (Gramps can only open media from hard drive, not from
url) and click from main menu
Tools/Family Tree Processing/Download media files from the internet....
All images will be downloaded into C:\Users\your_user_name\GRAMPS_media directory.
